Dogs feasted on $350,000 worth of new cars

Over the course of several night raids on a dealership, a pair of Houston dogs mutilated five cars, “ripping out” the bumpers and everything that could be torn off.

Video from surveillance cameras shows that this was done not by two-legged hooligans, but by four-legged robbers. A couple of dogs burst into the dealership's yard and began tearing apart cars.. The toothy dogs tore off everything that came off. Bumpers and fenders were the first to suffer.

This became such a habit that they raided cars ready for sale three times.. The night's fun cost the owner of the dealership at least $350,000. This is how much the damaged five cars are valued at.

“You would never think that a dog has such strength to tear apart a car. At first they thought they might be wolves, but surveillance camera footage clearly shows that they are big dogs,” says car sales manager Gabi Fakhoury.

Fakhoury estimates the losses reach up to $350,000.. Of course, big losses, but even bigger will be the loss of reputation: the damage will affect sales, scaring away customers.

The police were powerless here, where the company filed a complaint. Houston Police Department officers said it was a civil matter so they couldn't help.

The department suggested the dealership could hire a private investigator to follow the dogs home and identify their owner.. In fact, the owner of the dogs, who should be sued for harm, has not yet been found and it is unknown whether he exists at all – the dogs may be homeless.

The dealership plans to move from the outskirts near the forest to a new location. The only thing they can do by then is to put up a fence around their site as soon as possible.
