However, there is another side to the coin. Before he became a successful motorcyclist, Kenan grew up in his father's motorcycle repair garage.. He and his brothers made the area around their hometown of Adapazari their own training ground as aspiring racers.
Unfortunately, Kenan's brothers (both of them were racers) died in accidents. His older brother Bahattin, a Turkish national motorcycling champion, died in a traffic accident in 2002. Another brother, Sinan, died while training on the Izmit Kerfez circuit in May 2008.
Kanan himself has been in accidents more than once.. Injuries have curtailed further chances of winning trophies, but Kenan remains a successful Turkish athlete in world motorsport and leads his son to this.
