Average prices at American insurance auctions for the popular second-generation Audi Q5 crossover (2016-2020) in March 2024 dropped to $7,861. It also became known which US state has the lowest prices.
This price for a second-generation Audi Q5 (2016-2020) turned out to be $440 less than the average cost of transactions at auctions in February 2024 and the lowest in the history of observations, reports the AutoAstat service.
We are talking about the average price for the final bids of American auctions Copart and IAAI, from where Ukrainians very often bring cars after insured events.
The highest average cost of transactions for the purchase of an Audi Q5 at these auctions was in January 2022 — $13.5 thousand. A few months later it dropped to 9-10 thousand dollars (see chart) and remained at this level throughout 2022 and 2023. Only at the beginning of 2024, the price of the second generation Audi Q5 (2016-2020 model years) dropped sharply until it reached $7,861.
Interestingly, the Audi Q5 has long remained the sales leader at Copart and IAAI among car models, ahead of the popular BMW X5, BMW 3 Series, Tesla Model 3 and VW Tiguan, AutoAstat claims.

There you can buy this Audi for an average of $6900. At the same time, due to the distance from the ports, delivery from this state to Ukraine will hardly be the most expensive among other territories.
At the same time, these crossovers are sold most expensively in those states that are located on the ocean coast — California, New York and New Jersey, Florida, Oregon and Texas (this state is popular due to its proximity to Mexico as a large buyer of cars from USA). That is, if you buy a car cheaper, you will have to pay more money for delivery by land to the port.
Let us remind you that the second generation Audi Q5 (2016-2020) differs little from the first generation in silhouette, but significantly in style. The rounded design was replaced by a sharp, edged one.
