Toyota showed a unique pickup truck. The car is dedicated to the hero of the film “Blue Beetle”.
The new generation of the Toyota Tacoma pickup truck became the main character of the Japanese automaker’s corporate stand at the SEMA Show 2023 tuning exhibition in Las Vegas.
Together with the Toyota Tacoma X-Runner Concept, the company showed the Toyota Tacoma The Blue Beetle, dedicated to the main character of the film “Blue Beetle” about the superhero of the same name from the DC Comics universe.. The film was released on the wide screen in the summer of 2023, and in the fall the public was shown a car based on it.
The pickup truck received a livery designed by Warner Bros designers. The car's design is inspired by the Blue Beetle character, his costume, and the overall aesthetic of the film.
The car's styling was handled by Complete Customs, who were able to combine subtle pink and purple elements into the livery with a dark blue base color, and original Toyota Predator stitching and exhaust tips were added to complete the look.
Technically the car remains the same. Toyota notes that they do not intend to make The Blue Beetle a production model, but fans of the film and the Blue Beetle have the opportunity to make such a pickup themselves by ordering a similar livery and choosing accessories from the original parts catalog for the Tacoma.
