Lotus Esprit is an iconic classic European sports car powered by a twin-turbo V8. One of these cars, produced in 1997, was sold for more than 60 thousand dollars..
This car is not as simple as it might seem. Model features Calypso Red finish with dark brown interior. Standard equipment includes 17-size wheels on the front and 18-size on the rear axle, Brembo brakes, pop-up headlights, a removable roof panel, an Alpine audio system, power windows and air conditioning.
This car is a tuner and therefore has a steering wheel that previously belonged to a Lotus Evora, an Arvin exhaust system, new headlights and custom LED taillights. The former owner noted that the taillights and exhaust system were borrowed from a 2002 Lotus Esprit.
The sports car is equipped with a 3.5-liter V8 with twin turbocharging, producing 350 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, which is transmitted to the rear wheels thanks to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The car weighs 1350 kg, which allows this Lotus Esprit to accelerate to first hundred in just 4.4 seconds. Recently this car, with over 40,000 km on the clock, was sold for $63,000. Interestingly, the flagship version of the 2024 Toyota GR Supra, the 45th Anniversary Edition, is now selling at a similar price.
