At the Milan Motor Show EICMA 2023, Zero Motorcycles showed an updated line of all-electric bikes for the 2024 model year.
The brand's product range has several new models expanding the model line. The manufacturer describes this update from the perspective of the oldest and largest manufacturer of electric motorcycles, hinting at leadership in this segment of machines.
Among the biggest announcements is the optimization of Zero motorcycle frame platforms, leading to new models arriving in 2024. Previously, Zero Motorcycles used three different frames and engine platforms. The FX and FXE were built on the company's smallest platform, followed by the mid-weight S, DS and DSR, while the largest platform was used on the SR, SR/F, SR/S and DSR/X.
Now Zero is cutting out the middle ground by introducing new models to replace the previous Zero S and DS motorcycles.
The new Zero S, now built on the familiar trellis frame that debuted on the SR/F in early 2019, has a more powerful engine and battery than ever before. The 51kW motor is paired with a 14.4kWh Zero battery to deliver a combined city/highway range of 162km.

Likewise, the DS now comes on the same frame and has the same drivetrain, enhancing the entry-level dual sports bike from the company.
Both motorcycles can reach a top speed of 167 km/h. The Zero S will start at $14,995 in 2024, while the Dual-Sport Zero DS will start at $15,995.
The higher-spec DSR uses the same frame but has a larger 60kW motor and a larger 15.6kWh battery.
Zero FX and FXE are now the only two models equipped with a smaller 34kW motor. Both bikes come with 7.2 kWh batteries, which provide approximately 93 km of combined city/highway driving range. The bikes reach a maximum speed of 137 km/h.
The FX and FXE 2024 start at $12,495.
Zero's flagship 2024 SR/F, SR/S and DSR/X lineup features the best Zero trim levels. They include the highest power motor in the range, delivering a maximum power of up to 84 kW for a top speed of 200 km/h. These cars are equipped with the largest battery with a capacity of 17.3 kWh, which provides approximately 186 km of combined city/highway driving range.
