Acryptoinvest.news: Bitcoin cloud mining company Bitdeer Technologies Group has partnered with NVIDIA to double its supercomputing resources.
In a press release on November 9, Bitdeer announced that it has become a cloud service provider (CSP) in the NVIDIA partner network. This will allow the Singapore company to launch a cloud service based on NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD, artificial intelligence data center infrastructure with DGX H100 systems.
NVIDIA's senior director of the DGX platform, Tony Paikaday, said the partnership opens the door for Bitdeer to provide the supercomputers and AI software “needed to build and deploy generative AI models and services.”
Founded in 2018 by Jihan Wu, co-founder of Bitcoin (BTC) mining giant Bitman, Bitdeer says it is currently “methodically building its cloud business on GPUs” as part of its strategic roadmap.
Ultimately, Bitdeer plans to offer complex products such as Platform as a Service, Software as a Service, Application as a Service and Infrastructure as a Service with custom APIs. According to the company, the launch of a cloud services platform based on DGX SuperPOD is expected in the first quarter of 2024.
Bitdeer BTDR shares continued to decline despite the news, losing 6.3% to $3.53 on Friday, November 10. The company's market capitalization fell to $392.6 million, according to Nasdaq.
