The HashKey Exchange cryptocurrency exchange announced the imminent suspension of deposits and withdrawals of digital assets from the world's largest crypto trading platform Binance.
According to the official announcement from HashKey Exchange customer support, starting May 10, 2024, it will no longer accept any deposits from wallet addresses hosted on Binance. And from May 17, it will no longer allow withdrawals to wallet addresses hosted on Binance.
The restrictions do not affect deposits and withdrawals from non-hosted wallet addresses whitelisted by HashKey.
The HashKey team justified the need for restrictions by changes in the site’s operational policy.
The ban on Binance transactions comes shortly after HashKey Group launched its new global trading platform in Bermuda, targeting international users not served by subsidiary HashKey Hong Kong.
There is a possibility that the management of HashKey Group intends to avoid problems associated with cooperation with Binance, disgraced in the eyes of financial regulators in Hong Kong.. Earlier, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) said that the local crypto exchange HKVAEX was deliberately created by Binance in the hope of circumventing the ban on the provision of crypto services by the authorities of this special region of China..
