Hong Kong venture capital company Animoca Brands announced that thanks to large investments in TON Network it has become the largest validator of the blockchain platform.
Investments in TON Blockchain became possible after, as the participants of the agreement assure, “extensive research by Animoca experts on the possibilities of using TON tokens for the potential mass adoption of cryptocurrencies”.
Animoca claims that the company has received compelling evidence of the usability of TON-based dApps, as well as the scalability of the TON blockchain to promote widespread adoption of digital assets and financial freedom for customers..
TON Blockchain promises to provide Animoca with the necessary infrastructure and solutions to launch new gaming projects based on TON Play. This will allow the Animoca Brands portfolio, consisting of more than 400 Web3 projects, to be smoothly ported directly to the Telegram messenger. The amount of Animoca's investment in TON Blockchain is not disclosed.
The day before, Telegram co-founder Pavel Durov noted that the success of the TON blockchain, which set a world record for transaction speed, confirms the correctness of the choice of the main blockchain platform of the messenger.
