Auditors of the consulting company KPMG and Chainalysis analysts announced their readiness to provide assistance to national legal entities and government agencies of Canada in tracking illegal cryptocurrency transactions..
The partners intend to sell specialized solutions for cryptocurrency exchanges, financial institutions and government agencies. Enzo Carlucci, head of KPMG's forensic services in Canada, said the audit firm's specialists will act as “Chainalysis certified investigators” as part of the Solution Provider program.
“KPMG and Chainalysis partnership will provide Canadian companies with access to blockchain data monitoring technologies. This will allow us to promptly identify and suppress criminal activities related to digital assets,” the top manager promised.
KPMG Canada has been actively experimenting with services for crypto market participants for some time now.. Last year, the consulting company opened its first collaboration center between divisions in the US and Canada – in the metaverse. KPMG Canada invested in Bitcoin and Ethereum, and also acquired digital art from the World of Women (WoW) NFT collection.
Earlier, Canadian law enforcement agencies announced the start of using specialized software Chainalysis Reactor to track suspicious cryptocurrency transactions in different blockchains.
