There will be a hard fork on the Shibarium network on May 2

On May 2, the Shibarium network, developed to scale the Shiba Inu (SHIB) ecosystem, will undergo a hard fork.

As a result of a major protocol update, a new version of Shibarium will be created, different from the old one:

Higher transaction processing speed; Low commission for performing transactions.

The developers believe that the upgrade will increase the efficiency and scalability of Shibarium and thus attract new users to the platform. In addition, thanks to the update, the amplitude of fluctuations in the value of the transaction confirmation fee will decrease, so the operation of the network will become more predictable.

Now the average commission for confirming transfers in Shibarium is only $0.0000219. However, network users believe that the fee needs to be reduced to successfully compete with Dogecoin (DOGE), whose blockchain charges an average of $0.000375 per transaction processing.

The news about the imminent implementation of the Shibarium hard fork did not affect the rate of native Bone ShibaSwap tokens (BONE). Their price continues to fluctuate around $0.62 and does not want to go up yet. There is a similar situation in the Shiba Inu market. Over the past week, the coin has fallen in price by 9%, which is negligible for meme tokens.
