Bitcoin maximalist Max Kaiser took to the X/Twitter network to once again criticize XRP, saying that the coin will crash against Bitcoin in the future.
Max Kaiser criticizes XRP, predicting price collapse
Kaiser once again began to criticize the XRP cryptocurrency associated with Ripple, calling it “centralized garbage”. Kaiser added that XRP is “nullifying against Bitcoin.”
This was his response to a question from a member of the crypto community who asked that if “governments are buying Bitcoin with fiat money, who’s to say they aren’t doing so with XRP?”
Kaiser has been a Bitcoin evangelist since the early 2010s, promoting it throughout his time as a financial journalist, and he continues to promote it on Twitter.
Max Kaiser often criticizes altcoins, considering Bitcoin to be the only decentralized digital currency on the cryptocurrency market. His other victim is Solana (SOL), which recently suffered a major outage and Kaiser missed a replacement to hit Sol and the team behind it.
For the past few years, Kaiser has lived in El Salvador and served as a Bitcoin advisor to its President Nayib Bukele, who declared Bitcoin the country's national currency in 2021, banning the use of any altcoins within the country. Bukele was recently re-elected to a second presidential term.
Kaiser slams former Bitcoiner Nassim Taleb
In a recent tweet, Max Kaiser criticized former Bitcoin supporter, author of the influential book “Black Swan” Nassim Taleb. In 2021, Taleb tweeted that he was selling his Bitcoin holdings because he was disillusioned with BTC, believing it had failed both as a currency and as a hedge against bank failures.
Kaiser posted a tweet criticizing self-proclaimed Bitcoin creator Craig Wright (founder of Bitcoin Satoshi Vision (BSV)). He noted: “Craig’s lies were so easy to see through, no one was fooled by them except a few extremely narcissistic fools.”. The GIF posted by Kaiser shows the face of Nassim Taleb hitting himself in the head with a hammer.

In 2021, Taleb and another Bitcoin hater, Nouriel Roubini (known as “Dr. Doom” in financial markets), attended a conference organized by Wright's fellow millionaire and CoinGeek founder Calvin Ayre.
