Samsung introduced the flagships Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus. As expected, these devices received both the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Exynos 2400 SoCs. In terms of platform, the USA, Canada and China are more fortunate – smartphones for these countries are built on the Qualcomm platform, but for the European market (and, obviously, Russia) the 4-nanometer 10-core Exynos 2400 is reserved.
Galaxy S23 has only 8 GB of RAM, flash memory options are 128 or 256 GB. The Galaxy S24 Plus has 12 GB of RAM, as well as 256 or 512 GB of flash memory.
The front camera in these models has a 12-megapixel sensor and autofocus, the main camera is represented by three modules. The main one – with a 50-megapixel sensor and an optical stabilization system. There is a module with a 10-megapixel sensor, OIS and a telephoto lens with 3x zoom, as well as a 12-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens with a viewing angle of 120 degrees.
Samsung Galaxy S24 received a Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with a diagonal of 6.2 inches, a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, a frame rate of 120 Hz, support for HDR10+ and Vision Booster technology.
The Galaxy S24 Plus has a larger screen – Dynamic AMOLED 2X with a diagonal of 6.7 inches and a resolution of 3120 x 1440 pixels (like the Galaxy S24 Ultra). HDR10+ and Vision Booster supported. The maximum brightness of the displays has been increased to 2600 cd/sq.m.
Galaxy S24 has a 4000 mAh battery with support for 25 W charging, Galaxy S24 Plus has a 4900 mAh battery with support for 45 W charging. Both models support 15W wireless charging.
Unlike the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the cases are made of aluminum. There is IP68 protection, the screen is protected using tempered glass Gorilla Glass Victus 2. There is support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. The smartphones run One UI 6.1 based on Android 14 and will receive updates until 2031.
