Australian Open 2024 sets record attendance for all Grand Slam tournaments

The 2024 Australian Open set a remarkable record of becoming the most attended Grand Slam tournament of all time. This year, 1,020,763 spectators attended the main draw games, The Age reports.

The highest attendance was achieved on the seventh day of the competition (January 20). It amounted to 93,723 people (however, this is less than the 94,854 spectators who visited Melbourne Park on January 21 last year).

The Australian Open – 2024 surpassed the achievement of the US Open – 2023 (957,287) and became the first in TBS history to surpass the 1,000,000 spectator mark.
