Sauber announced that the team will not be called Alfa Romeo next season, as the partnership with the Italian automaker has come to an end.
According to Valtteri Bottas, the transition to the original team name and change of course should benefit the Swiss team.
“In this sport, given that we have a profit, that’s everything,” Bottas said when asked where Sauber should focus his attention in developing the car.
“There is nothing fundamental here, but it’s good that we have a completely new car with new ideas and new people in the team. This is exactly what we need now, so we need to make big steps over the winter. This is the key,” the Finnish quotes PlanetF1 racer.
Earlier, Red Bull boss Christian Horner explained what allowed his team to have such a dominant season.
