Federer: I was relieved after retiring

20-time Grand Slam champion and former world number one, Swiss tennis player Roger Federer, spoke about what he is doing after retiring from his career.

“It was a pretty smooth transition. First I had problems with my knee, and then the pandemic started. Things have slowed down in the last few years. I was relieved when I retired because I tried so hard to come back but it didn't work out in the end.. And the past year has brought me nothing but joy.

Life has changed because now I build it completely differently. With children, logistics are more difficult, but I do a lot for the foundation, for philanthropy. I also devoted a lot of time to business. So you could say I was very busy.

Of course, I am a father 24/7, I constantly help children with their studies and everything else.. So my life is not as boring and slow as many people imagine,” Federer was quoted as saying by CGTN Sports Scene.

Recall that 42-year-old Federer retired from the sport in September 2022 after competing at the 2022 Laver Cup in London..
