German referee was seriously injured during a Bundesliga match

German referee Felix Brich was unable to complete his special match in the Bundesliga due to injury.

The 48-year-old referee played his 344th match in the German championship in the game between Eintracht and Stuttgart, equaling Wolfgang Stark's record.

In the first half, Brych twisted his right knee and ankle, after which he limped off the field. The referee received medical attention and then returned to the field wearing a white ribbon bandage. During the break, it was decided to replace the referee.

This tragedy allowed fourth referee Patrick Schwengers to make his debut in the Bundesliga.
