Already in the opening set, Tsurenko was inferior 1:3, but was able to win five games in a row and successfully play the second game, which allowed the Ukrainian to bring the matter to victory.
This match was the third for the tennis players. Thanks to this victory, Lesya Tsurenko took the lead in personal matches – 2:1.
The Ukrainian will play against Naomi Osaka to reach the quarterfinals.
