Newcastle are demanding hefty compensation for their sporting director

Newcastle are ready to part with Dan Ashworth, but only for a substantial payment, writes The Telegraph.

The publication claims that the functionary appealed to the leadership of the “magpies” with a request to let him go to Manchester United.

The club decided that they were ready to let Ashworth go only on one condition: his future employer must pay Newcastle at least 20 million pounds.

So far, as far as we know, Manchester United have not contacted Newcastle regarding the transfer of a sporting director. However, negotiations are now expected to begin soon.
