On November 29, a match took place in which Prometheus won a landslide victory. In the return match, to reach the 1/8 finals of the CEV Cup, Prometheus players needed to take only two sets.
At the start of the match, the Ukrainians seized the initiative. However, the Netherlands added power in attack and took the lead (18:15).
Andrey Levchenko took a time out and decided to rotate. These changes worked: the red and white regained the lead, and soon with a triple block they put an end to this game – 22:25.
After the break, the teams did not slow down and continued to fight. And yet, the Prometheus volleyball players managed to put the squeeze on the opponent – 23:25.
So our athletes secured access to the next stage ahead of schedule, but this was not enough for them, and they continued to smash the Netherlands, ending the match with a “dry” victory – 24:26.
