The International Ice Hockey Federation extended the suspension of Russia and Belarus for the 2024/25 season

This was reported on the official website of the IIHF. The organization concluded that the return of Russian and Belarusian teams and national teams “is not yet safe.”

Russia and Belarus will not play at the 2024 World Cup, and Belarus will not be able to take part in the selection for the 2026 Olympic Games, where it was in the same group with Ukraine.
