The Ukrainian national hockey team wins the pre-qualification tournament for the 2026 Olympic Games

The Ukrainian national hockey team in the final match of the pre-qualifying tournament for the 2026 Olympic Games defeated the Estonia national team 5:3 and advanced to the final stage of the tournament.

The final match guaranteed the “yellow-blues” first place in the group stage. Before that, they were able to beat the Republic of Korea (4:0), and then Poland (3:2) in a shootout.

In August-September 2024, the Ukrainian team will participate in the final stage of selection. Khristic's team was included in the same group along with representatives of Slovakia, Belarus (participation has not yet been confirmed) and Kazakhstan and must take first place to be guaranteed qualification for the 2026 Olympics.
