The Ukrainian women's team lost to Portugal a nominally home match in Riga in the qualification for EuroBasket 2025 with a score of 63:78. Ukraine ended the first qualifying match with the biggest defeat in history – the Ukrainians lost to Serbia with a score of 40:82.
The most productive member of the Ukrainian national team in this match was Victoria Balaban, who scored 19 points.
Ukraine will hold the next qualifying matches for EuroBasket 2025 in November 2024. Then the “blue-yellows” will play against North Macedonia and Serbia.
