ASUS introduced updated Vivobook S OLED laptops with Intel Core Ultra and AMD Ryzen 8040

ASUS has introduced updated Vivobook S OLED series laptops based on the latest Intel Core Ultra and AMD Ryzen 8040 processors. The manufacturer announced 14-inch Vivobook S 14 OLED M5406 and S5406, 15.6-inch Vivobook S 15 OLED M5506 and S5506, and 16-inch Vivobook S 16 OLED M5606 and S5606. In general, the new products offer the same characteristics. The only difference is the platforms on which they are built.

For Vivobook S 14 OLED models, the manufacturer offers two display options: with a resolution of 2880 × 1800 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, or with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels and a frequency of 60 Hz. Both panels feature a 16:10 aspect ratio and are VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600 certified. They claim 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and a peak brightness of 600 cd/m2.

The new Vivobook S 15 OLED offers only one display option: 16:9 aspect ratio, 2880 x 1620 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 500 cd/m2 brightness, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified and 100% coverage DCI-P3 color gamut.

For Vivobook S 16 OLED, OLED panels are announced with an aspect ratio of 16:10, support for a resolution of 3200 × 2000 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification, a peak brightness of 600 cd / m2 and 100% coverage of the DCI color space -P3.

Latest ASUS Vivobook S OLED laptops on the Intel Core Ultra platform offer Core Ultra 5, 7 and 9 processors. The Vivobook S 14 OLED and Vivobook S 16 OLED models are ready to offer 8 or 16 GB of LPDDR5X-7467 RAM, as well as 512 GB or 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSDs. The new Vivobook S 15 OLED offers an additional option in the form of 32 GB of RAM of the same standard.

Versions of ASUS Vivobook S OLED laptops on the AMD platform are equipped with Ryzen 9 8945HS or Ryzen 7 8845HS processors. They can offer from 8 to 32 GB of LPDDR5X-7500 RAM and solid-state drives up to 1 TB. In addition, the manufacturer offers models based on the Ryzen 5 7535HS processor. In this case, the laptop can offer from 8 to 32 GB of LPDDR5X-6400 RAM.

ASUS Vivobook S OLED laptops with Intel Core Ultra processors are equipped with two Thunderbolt 4 interfaces (Type-C at 40 Gbps), one USB 3.2 Type-A and one HDMI 2.1. In addition, they received a microSD memory card reader and a combined 3.5 mm audio output.

Models based on AMD Ryzen 8040 processors offer one USB4 connector (40 Gbps), USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C, USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A and HDMI 2.1. They also received a microSD memory card reader and a combined 3.5 mm audio output. The Ryzen 5 7535HS variant offers two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C ports, one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, one HDMI 2.1, a microSD card reader and a 3.5mm audio combo jack.

All new products support Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, are equipped with 75 Wh batteries with fast charging up to 60% in 49 minutes, webcams with FHD resolution and support for Windows Studio Effects, as well as keyboards with single-zone RGB backlighting. The weight of the Vivobook S 15 OLED and Vivobook S 16 OLED models is about 1.5 kg, the weight of the Vivobook S 14 OLED is about 1.3 kg. Device thickness ranges from 13.9 to 15.9 mm. All new products are running the Windows 11 Home or Pro operating system with support for Copilot AI functions.
