Nightmare Forge, a studio specializing in horror, has announced the release of its new product this year – a game about Mickey Mouse called Infestation 88.

The new game is expected to be a co-op survival horror game for 1-4 players. According to the announcement on Steam, in this game users will play the role of “ an exterminator battling sinister infestations caused by twisted versions of classic characters.”

It is also noted that this game is based on works that are now publicly available.

“This independent creation has not been authorized, sponsored or otherwise endorsed by any of the original authors of the works mentioned. All content in this game is used under appropriate public domain rules and is not associated with or endorsed by any existing intellectual property rights or trademark owners,” the game's authors warn.

The studio presented the first trailer, which describes the general atmosphere of the game. In it you can see locations affected by an unknown infection, and a creepy creature similar to Mickey Mouse.

Let us remind you that in early January, the main mascot of Disney and one of the most recognizable characters of the studio, Mickey Mouse, officially became public domain.. True, we are only talking about the version of the hero that can be seen in the 1928 cartoon.
