In the Viber messenger it became possible to gain access to additional functions by purchasing a subscription. It will cost $1.99 per month.
Calls and messages on Viber remain free for all users worldwide. And a monthly subscription provides access to various new features.
There are still few additional functions offered to subscription owners. However, Ofir Eyal, CEO of Rakuten Viber, claims that this “ Just the beginning for Viber Plus.”
According to the Viber press service, at the beginning, subscription owners will receive new tools such as transcribing voice messages ( will work simply by clicking on a message in the chat), advertising limitation ( it will not be shown in the chat list and after calls).
Premium users will also have an invisible mode, which will allow them to be online and read messages without revealing their status to others. In addition, the subscription will allow you to contact support if necessary. ( it will be possible to contact her in Ukrainian, but the answer will be provided in English).
There will be some visual changes as well.. A Viber Plus icon will appear on the userpic in the application, which will be visible to other users, and the style of the Viber icons can be customized by choosing from the provided images.
Viber Plus subscription costs $1.99 per month. You can activate it in the settings section “ Extras”. The opportunity to subscribe, as noted by the company, will be available to all users in Ukraine who have the application version 21.2 and newer over the next few days.
