Aitivets did not admit that he tried to leave Ukraine illegally

Border guards detained an employee of an IT company during an alleged attempt to cross the border illegally. However, the accused did not admit his guilt and did not appear at the court session.

On September 29, the border guard found several people together with an Aitiv citizen in the controlled border area in Transcarpathia. The case file states that this happened during an attempt to illegally cross the border from Ukraine to Romania.

A report on an administrative offense was drawn up against the citizen of Aitiv. According to the Code, an attempt or illegal border crossing by a group of persons is punishable by a fine of 200 to 500 non-taxable minimum income of citizens or administrative arrest for up to 15 days.

However, the Haitian himself did not admit the accusation. In addition, no evidence (photo or video) was submitted to the court, which confirmed such an offense. It is also noted that he was detained at a considerable distance from the border (in the direction of border sign #410, Yasinya railway station).

What the court decided

In connection with the above, the judge of the Rakhiv court does not see signs of an administrative offense in the actions of the detained IT specialist. He decided to close the case.
