Burden of Glory. ChatGPT couldn't cope with the influx of new users
OpenAI>
OpenAI has admitted it can't handle the influx of ChatGPT Plus users following its first developer event, DevDay.
Due to the surge in usage, the company is temporarily stopping enrolling users of the paid premium version of its chatbot.
“We are suspending new registrations to ChatGPT Plus for a while.. The surge in usage since DevDay has exceeded our capacity and we want to make sure everyone has a great experience,” OpenAI CEO Sam Altman wrote on X (Twitter).
Altman noted that users who want to subscribe but are unable to do so now will receive a notification to restore access to ChatGPT Plus.
The surge in demand is due to the DevDay 2023 event, which took place earlier this month. It presented developers and companies with the power of GPT in various industries. It also demonstrated the ability to create your own AI models without coding.. Since then, more than 5,000 different GPTs have appeared.
As NV Techno wrote, on the eve of OpenAI encountered another problem in ChatGPT. The chatbot experienced malfunctions that were associated with DDoS attacks by the hacker group Anonymous Sudan.
