Naughty Dog showed a trailer for the remaster of The Last of Us Part 2 for PS5. It will feature a new game mode, No Return, and the ability to play as new characters.

Not only graphical improvements, but also new modes will obviously be what will attract players to The Last of Us Part II remaster for PlayStation 5. One of the announced ones is No Return, which the studio calls a roguelike survival mode.. Traditionally, the game in this mode assumes that the death of the characters is inevitable, and the player always needs to start the game over again, with the goal of surviving as long as possible.

As players progress through the game, which is expected to have 12 levels, they will unlock new characters, weapons and the like.

“Play as Ellie, Abby, and a variety of unlockable characters, including characters never playable before like Dina, Jessie, Lev, Tommy, and more. Each with unique traits and offering a variety of playstyles. Unlock skins for them,” says the trailer description on YouTube.

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered will be released on PlayStation 5 on January 19, 2024. Pre-order available from December 5, 2023.
