A remaster of the acclaimed action adventure The Last of Us Part II from Naughty Dog will be made for the PlayStation 5.

The day before, PlayStationSize X insider published a message hinting at the release of the popular video game The Last of Us Part 2 for the PlayStation 5 console in the near future. Insider Gaming received confirmation of this news from its own sources.

The publication notes that it is not yet clear when the game will be announced. It is believed that a big announcement can be expected during The Game Awards ceremony, which will take place on December 8.

The Last of Us Part 2 was released in the summer of 2020 on PlayStation 4. This game received critical and user acclaim and the largest number of awards in history at The Game Awards. ( including reward “ Game of the Year”). The game sold over four million copies worldwide, making it the fastest-selling PlayStation 4 exclusive at the time. A version eventually appeared on the PlayStation 5, which went on sale a few months after the game's release.. It allowed you to play at 60 frames per second.

In 2023, interest in the game grew again with the release of the series on HBO. Series The Last of Us became HBO's first series based on a video game and was renewed for a second season back in January 2023. Filming for Season 2 will begin in January 2024 and is scheduled for release in 2025.
