The organizers of The Game Awards 2023 announced the start of user voting in the “Voice of Players” category.. The format has undergone some changes compared to previous iterations.

As in previous years, voting will determine the game of the year according to ordinary users in three stages: after the first round, out of 30 participating games, 10 will remain, then – five, and at the end of the final – only one.
20 releases from 2023 and 10 more games from previous years are up for victory in the “Voice of Players” category at The Game Awards 2023. Вот их список:

The main difference between the new “Player Voices” and the old ones is that now the intermediate voting results during the rounds will not be displayed. According to the organizers, this will help maintain the intrigue until the very end.
Less than a few hours later, developer VD42 discovered these same intermediate results (also with the exact number of votes) in the code of The Game Awards website and even opened a separate page to track the voting progress.

The first stage of selection for the “Voice of Players” will end on November 30 at 5:00 Moscow time. The second and third must take place before The Game Awards 2023. The broadcast of the show starts on December 8 at 3:30 Moscow time.
