Apple announced that its Vision Pro augmented reality glasses would go on sale in January 2024, but that doesn't look like it will happen.

Apple's new $3,499 VR headset showcased in June 2023. The company then planned for its Vision Pro to go on sale in the US early next year and later appear in other countries. However, as Bloomberg correspondent Mark Gurman notes, the company is now still developing a product distribution plan and completing its testing. Gurman suggests the device will debut sometime around March” 2024.

There has been no official announcement from Apple about the delay yet.. The company's website still states that Vision Pro will be available early next year in the US.”

Given this, 9to5mac speculates, Apple will hold another event in the spring, where it will be able to demonstrate some applications and features that were not fully ready for demonstration at the June presentation. Also at the event there may be talk about the Apple Watch smart watch.

As NV wrote, in June of this year during the international exhibition WWDC 2023, Apple announced its Vision Pro augmented reality glasses.

Already in July, information appeared that the company was forced to significantly reduce the production plan for these helmets due to the complexity of its design and production.

Apple Vision Pro will be sold by appointment only at Apple retail stores and through the online Apple Store and will not be available from third-party retailers. Lenses for the VR headset will be available with a prescription.
