The American brand Jeep continues its own relaunch in Ukraine and begins to announce prices for cars.
The new Jeep Compass crossover opens official sales of the American brand in Ukraine; its price starts from UAH 1,237,700.
The first generation Jeep Compass crossover appeared in 2006. The second generation Jeep Compass debuted in 2016 and was updated for the 2022 model year.. It is this updated Jeep Compass crossover that opens the Jeep Brand line in Ukraine.
The car's update for the 2022 model year provided it with a redesigned front bumper, new headlights and wheels, and an expanded body color palette.
The interior of the Jeep Compass has also changed. The flat horizontal panel emphasizes the width of the car body, the new steering wheel visually combines the Jeep Compass crossover with models in the class above, and the 10.25-inch digital cluster provides all the information the driver needs about the current journey. The fifth-generation UConnect multimedia system (with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) is built around a 10.1-inch touchscreen display.
The new Jeep Compass in Ukraine will be offered with a 1.5L MHEV 130 hybrid power plant, paired with a DCT-7 transmission and front-wheel drive.
The basis of the e-Hybrid hybrid system is a 1.5 Turbo internal combustion engine with a power of 130 hp. and torque 240 Nm. It is assisted by a 15 kW (or 20 hp) P2 electric motor with a torque of 55 Nm and a 48V power system with the ability to recover energy when the vehicle decelerates/brakes.
The main difference between the Jeep Compass's hybrid system and other MHEV hybrids is the ability to drive on electric power for short periods of time, such as cruising slowly in traffic or parking with the electric motor alone.. This eliminates the operation of a traditional internal combustion engine in the most unfavorable conditions. This translates into improved fuel economy of just 5.6-6 liters per 100 km (WLTP combined cycle).
The use of a 7-speed DCT transmission with dual wet clutches ensures fast gear changes and optimal operating modes for the two engines together or separately.
The Jeep Compass crossover will be offered to Ukrainian buyers in the Limited configuration.
