German Chancellor Olaf Scholzp announced a new aid package for Ukraine worth approximately 1.13 billion euros, in which anti-aircraft and artillery equipment will be a powerful component.
The Bundeswehr on the evening of February 16 on its official website revealed the contents of a new package of military assistance to Ukraine. Among the most notable donations, the position on two batches of RCH 155 wheeled howitzers attracts attention.. The federal government will supply them along with crew training.
The federal government will supplement the fleet of 14 PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery systems previously transferred (2022) with a tranche of 18 mentioned howitzers. This order must be completed by the manufacturer during 2026 and 2027. That package includes crew training, spare parts and ammunition.

Also, in addition to the 18 RCH 155 howitzers mentioned above and ordered, it is planned to supply a second batch of the same number of combat vehicles – 18 units. Phased delivery is scheduled for the period from the end of 2025 to 2027, depending on the readiness of self-propelled guns. This assistance package also includes training, spare parts and ammunition.
For the first time, the federal government will transfer 122 mm artillery ammunition to Ukraine. This year 120 thousand should be delivered.. In addition, this year Germany will purchase another 100 IRIS-T SLSI missiles for Ukraine.

Ukraine will also receive a second SkyNex system from the German federal government ( see video below ). This donation is planned for 2025.
“Our security agreement with Ukraine is historic. For the first time in its history, the Federal Republic is acting as a guarantor state. Our Munich Package, worth over €1 billion, reaffirms our continued military support for Ukraine and demonstrates that we are committed to our continued commitment to support our Ukrainian partners in their fight against Russian aggression,” said German Defense Minister Pistorius.
