Instagram users now have the ability to download Reels videos to their devices directly through the social network app. Previously, this required third-party services.

To download the video you need to touch the button Share and select Download”. After this, the video will go to the gallery of your phone or tablet.. At the same time, a watermark with the author’s Instagram ID will appear on it. In this way, you can only download videos published in public ( non-private) accounts.

“By the way, public accounts can disable the ability for people to download their videos—if a video you like can’t be downloaded, you can still tap the three dots and save it so you can watch it later in the app,” said Instagram chief Adam Mosseri in the IG Updates channel.
