Ecclestone: Haas just used Mick Schumacher's name

Former Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone spoke out about the dismissal of German Mick Schumacher, the son of legendary champion Michael Schumacher, from the American Haas team.

“Mick Schumacher ended up in the wrong team and with the wrong people. At Haas they simply used his name. They were never interested in how good or bad he was,” Bild quoted Ecclestone as saying.

Mick Schumacher made his Formula 1 debut for Haas in 2021 and finished only 19th, without scoring a single championship point. In 2022, Schumacher became 16th, after which he was fired.
