The GeForce RTX 4070 Super video card turned out to be significantly more productive than the original GeForce RTX 4070, showing an increase of up to 16%. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super. It, of course, became faster than the regular GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, but the increase was half as significant. At least according to the first tests.

Independent reviewers are completing tests of the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super and will publish the results in the coming days. One of these reviewers anonymously shared information about the card's performance in 3DMark synthetic tests with the VideoCardz portal.. As it turned out, the new RTX 4070 Ti Super is 8% faster than the regular RTX 4070 Ti, and also 15% slower than the RTX 4080. The performance difference with the upcoming GeForce RTX 4080 Super will be even greater. Let us remind you that the RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4080 Super will completely replace the original models on sale.
Of course, synthetic benchmarks are not able to provide a complete picture of the performance of the RTX 4070 Ti Super. Especially considering that the Super model received 4 GB more video memory than the original RTX 4070 Ti (16 GB for the Super version versus 12 GB for the regular one). The same 3DMark tests do not use all the video memory, so the difference between the two cards is not so obvious. The larger memory buffer size is very useful for high-resolution games when using maximum quality settings. However, here too the results will depend on many factors and, to a large extent, on the game itself. More graphics-intensive projects may see double-digit performance gains, while others will see less of a boost.
GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super will go on sale on January 24. However, full-fledged independent reviews of the video card will be available a day earlier. Unlike the RTX 4070 Super and RTX 4080 Super, the RTX 4070 Ti Super will not be available in the reference Founder Edition. Tomorrow, January 23, reviews of different versions of the RTX 4070 Ti Super will be published, which have characteristics close to the reference ones and a recommended price of $799. The test results above were obtained on one of these cards using the new GeForce 551.15 driver.
