The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court for the recovery of 100% of assets in the state income from Royal Pay LLC, which is associated with the 1xBet bookmaker. According to the State Bureau of Investigation, it is about securities and an amount of over UAH 1.8 billion.
During the investigation, the law enforcement officers established a connection between the company SIA ROYAL PAY EUROPE and the Russian bookmaker 1xBet, represented in Ukraine by Tvoya Betingova Kompaniya LLC.
Currently, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted within the framework of criminal proceedings under the following articles:
h. 4 Art. 110-2 (financing of actions committed for the purpose of violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power, change of territory or state border of Ukraine)h. 4, 5 Art. 191 (appropriation, embezzlement of property or possession of it by abuse of official position) h. 2 Art. 364 (abuse of power or official position) ch. 2 Art. 364-1 (abuse of authority by an official of a legal entity of private law, regardless of the organizational and legal form)
A month after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Gambling and Lottery Regulatory Commission (KRAIL) announced the resumption of work and was the first to issue a license to the Russian bookmaker 1xBet.
After publicity in the mass media, the commission began to assure that it had not seen any evidence that the licensee had a connection with the Russians. In the end, 1xBet was stripped of its license.
At the beginning of this year, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, implemented the NSDC's decision to impose sanctions against a hundred entrepreneurs and three hundred companies, mostly Russian. In particular, sanctions were imposed on a company called “Your Betting Company”, under which the Russian business 1Xbet was hiding in Ukraine.
In April, detectives of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine (BEB) seized the corporate rights of one bookmaker company. Presumably, it may be about the company LLC “Your Betting Company” (TBK, brand 1xBet).
