In Australia, a 60-year-old farmer fought off a crocodile attack by biting the 3.2-meter reptile on his eyelid.
A farmer was building a fence near the Finis River when he noticed a fish swimming in the lake, as it turned out it was a crocodile that almost bit off the poor man's leg, writes the Daily Mail.
“I was in such an awkward position… but by chance my teeth caught his eyelid, I pulled it and he let go. I had no choice ( except to bite a crocodile). It all happened in about eight seconds,” Mr. Devereux said.
Mr. Devereaux jumped back and ran as quickly as possible to his car.. The crocodile initially chased him, but gave up after walking about four meters.
The man used a towel and rope to tie his leg and stop the bleeding before his brother took him to Darwin Hospital, where he remained for almost a month.
The farmer realizes how lucky he is, saying that the crocodile “ I was really in my prime, and if he had bitten me somewhere else, everything would have been different.”
