The Ukrainian online car-hailing service Uklon has launched a new class of taxis in Kyiv – “Express”. These cars have licenses for the domestic transportation of passengers by taxi, which gives them permission to move in public transport lanes.

This class includes cars belonging to the “Comfort” class and above. He noted that “Express” class cars are currently available in the capital, but the company is working on their appearance in other cities. More than 450 such taxis are already available in Kyiv, including Ford Focus, Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Sonata and others.

By law, checkers must be installed on the roof of licensed taxis.

A trip in Kyiv in the “Express” class will cost a little more than the average price in the “Comfort” class.

The license conditions were approved by the Cabinet of Ministers in 2015. Currently, a license for road transport services can only be obtained by a sole proprietorship or a company, it can be issued in “Diya” within 10 working days. The cost of the license is equal to the living wage for able-bodied persons – UAH 2,684 in 2023.

Licensed taxi drivers must pay 5% of their income to the budget.
