The latest version of the game received updated graphics settings, controller support, Steam Networking and Steam Deck. Also, for the first time in two decades, the game received new maps for several players. 4 new maps, 3 old Half-Life Deathmatch maps have been added, as well as character models for Deathmatch ( Ivan the Space Biker, Prototype Barney, Skeleton, Too Much Coffee Man).
In addition, users received a lot of features from older versions of the game – from the menu design in the style of the 1998 game to the original Valve video at the beginning.
At the same time, the game Half-Life was distributed for free on Steam until the evening of November 20. And Half-Life2 began to be sold at a 90% discount – for only 22 hryvnia ( offer valid until Tuesday evening, November 21).
Against this background, Half-Life recorded the highest number of concurrent players since records were kept – more than 33 thousand. For comparison, up to this point the game was visited by no more than a thousand players per month.
